Yes, the Google Nest camera wasn’t built to be used as a baby monitor and although it lacks some of the most basic functionalities that other monitors can offer (more on that below), it’s also so much more than just a baby monitor.
Your baby falls back to sleep and you can go back to your room worry-free. Just whisper “ Hey Alexa, order some diapers from Amazon Prime and get them delivered first thing tomorrow morning” to your Nest cam while holding your baby and you’re all set. You go to their room to hold and soothe them and realize that you are out of diapers. Picture this: it’s late at night and your baby is crying.
